MTV Europe Awards red carpet handbags 2010 EMAs

The MTV Europe Awards took place on November 7, 2010 and the red carpet was filled with fashion forward handbags that were the opposite of what appears on the red carpet at events such as the Emmy Awards and the Academy Awards. The MTV Europe Awards featured less formal handbags on the red carpet than those found at dressier awards shows. Jersey Shore character Snooki was spotted on the red carpet wearing a feathery fringed skirt and matching, feathery fringe handbag in black. Snooki’s MTV Europe red carpet handbag was a medium sized, black clutch that could easily be worn with casual elegant looks or paired with an understated cocktail dress for an added bit of sass. Emily Osmet appeared on the red carpet at the MTV Europe Awards with a more traditional, rectangular satin clutch which featured rocker chic studs. The rectangular clutch carried by Emily Osmet at the MTV Europe Awards on the red carpet fit right into spring’s upcoming rocker chic trend and daytime clutch trend. Although the clutch was satin, it could easily be worn with casual elegant looks or paired with a formal dress. Kei$ha appeared on the red carpet at the MTV Europe Awards wearing a fabric printed, black and white clutch that was unique and sophisticated. Although it did not blend too well with her overall outfit, Kei$ha’s red carpet clutch at the MTV Europe Awards would work well with casual elegant outfits and semi-formal attire. Overall, the handbags that appeared on the red carpet at the MTV Europe Awards were easy to dress up or down and all in good taste. Due to the overwhelming appearance of clutches on the red carpet, the MTV Europe Awards signaled to Fashionistas everywhere that the daytime clutch trend for spring 2011 will be important. Clutches that can easily be dressed up or down, as those seen on the red carpet, will be popular and highly desired.
