Burberry Prorsum handbags fall 2011 London Fashion Week

Burberry sent their fall winter 2011 2012 collection down the London Fashion Week catwalk today and it was filled with bright colors, plaid, colored hound’s-tooth, cow prints, winter white with black, military features, 1960s skirts, 1970s flare pants, cigarette pants, newsboy caps and four distinct handbag styles; two daytime clutches styles, the double top handle satchel and a large bowler. The squared, two-tone daytime clutch on the Burberry fall runway featured either nova-check with colored leather trim or two contrasting colors of leather. The clutch was designed with a flap closure and double buckle fastener. Burberry created the clutch in a medium size which can easily fit daily purse essentials and was wide enough to easily be carried without any fuss. The clutch also featured a detachable, cross body strap. Burberry’s second daytime clutch was featured in leather or wool. The leather version was done in one color and the wool version featured the same hound’s-tooth that was shown on pea-coats and overcoats. The clutch featured a straight edge bottom and round top with zipper closure and double tassel. The clutch was medium sized, just slightly smaller than the squared off clutch on the runway; by about an inch in the height and two inches in the width. The style was also shown in black patent leather with a dramatic winter white satin bow. The bowler featured on Burberry’s fall catwalk was large and could easily double as a small weekender. The top rounded out and there were two top handles. Burberry’s bowler was shown in solid colored leather or nova-check with colored leather trim. Burberry also took a nod to the continuing Lady Bag trend with a double top handle satchel, or small bowler, which was featured in brightly colored leather or nova-check with colored leather trim and a tassel.
